Locally made using upcycled sails and featuring a seamless blend of style and utility, the Rope Tote North-South is the perfect functional accent accessory for your next beach vacation or any cute summer look!  Its unique design gives a nod to the nautical with the rope handle straps and it’s just the right size to carry all of your daily essentials for an unforgettable day under the sun. And a bonus feature - the straps are adjustable so you can wear it as a shoulder bag or handbag!

Features:

  • Handmade using upcycled sailcloth that is washed before sewing
  • One interior pocket 
  • High-quality finished interior seams for added durability and a clean, polished look
  • Adjustable heavy-duty 7/16” rope straps that offer versatile wear - allowing you to tie a single knot to wear on your shoulder or a double knot to wear as a handbag
  • Patch and channel pieces are made using deadstock or virgin heavyweight sailcloth - this provides the stability needed to support the straps and also allows us to make use of pieces of upcycled sailcloth that may otherwise but unusable
  • Removable interior bag base insert to add structure and stability to the bottom of the bag

Each sail is unique and has lived a life on the water before becoming a LI/NE bag. While LI/NE washes all of their sails prior to sewing, each bag will have its own distinct patina and character marks. We celebrate this as ​​a sign of past adventures, an indication of their upcycled nature and another feature that makes each LI/NE bag truly one of a kind.

Please note, since each bag is one-of-a-kind, the image in the product listing is for style reference only.  Each bag will have all of the design features and colours pictured, however, since all sails are different and each bag is made from a unique sail, the material and surface details on each bag will differ.  For example, the sailcloth may or may not have visible stitching, hardware, or telltales (a telltale is a bit of colourful yarn attached with a cute little circle that helps sailors determine how a sail is performing in the wind!)
