T’is the season to say ‘tank you very much’ to our customers

In-store and on-line, we’ll start the giving season off right for Resonance customers who shop on Nov. 29

We’re celebrating Black Friday this year with a one-day-only event that’s all about customer appreciation.

In case you didn’t know, Black Friday is a tradition that started in the United States. Retailers there have traditionally cut prices dramatically on big-ticket items the day after Thanksgiving. Canadians have joined the tradition in recent years.

At Resonance, we use the day to celebrate the start of holiday discounting and to show a bit of holiday love to our customers. 

This year, the day falls on Nov. 29.  Here’s how you can join the celebration:

     1.  Holiday discounts!

The markdowns have officially begun! 

We’ll have quite a bit of outerwear marked down -- from 20 to 50 per cent off!

Most clothing by sustainable brands Aventura, Fig and Lolë will be 30 per cent off.

And a number of items will be marked down to 50 per cent off. Look for our signature red “sale” ribbons on hangers to spot those great finds throughout the store.

     2.  'Tank you very much

Every purchase over $70 on Nov. 29 -- both in store and on line -- will come with a $25 gift from us!

     3.  Win one of six $100 gift certificates

We’re celebrating the holidays by partnering with the Danish brands B.Young and Ichi. 

During the day on Nov. 29, in-store customers who try on any item from either of these two affordable and beautiful brands will be entered into a raffle for six $100 gift certificates that can be used toward any item from either of these two brands.

Each item you try on equals one chance to win! 

We’ll draw names at 8pm on Nov. 29, so you won’t have to wait long to find out if you won!

And we’ll make the try-on party extra special by offering holiday treats from 2 to 8pm. 

     4.  Win a $100 shopping spree

On the evening of Nov. 29, we’ll host our annual Wine and Wish event. Hope you can join us!

Starting at 2pm, we’ll offer delicious holiday treats. Wine will start flowing then and we’ll also have nice non-alcoholic options too.

Try on everything you love, and we’ll keep track of your favourite finds so your loved ones can buy the exact right colour and size. And if you make a Resonance wish list you’ll be entered in a draw to win a $100 Resonance gift certificate. 

The winner will be free to use the gift certificate any time, toward any item in the store. 

     5.  Shop for a chance to win a Foster’s meal 

In the past, we’ve organized an event called Beer & Buy to make shopping fun for the loved ones of our wish listers. It was fun, but we discovered our customers’ loved ones didn’t want to risk missing their chance to buy the exact right item. They phoned and emailed as soon as possible to get their holiday shopping squared away. 

So this year, we’re making an extra-special effort to provide personalized service when our shoppers need it, rather than during an event. No need to come to the store to make your wish-list purchase. To reward the loving partners of our customers for their generosity, anyone who shops from a Resonance wish list between Nov. 29 and Dec. 24, will get a chance to win a $100 gift certificate at Foster’s Inn -- one of Stratford’s most delicious casual restaurants. 

     6.  Door prizes galore

We’ll also offer other in-store chances to win. Just by walking through our door, you’ll get a chance to win one of several door prizes. We’ll have some special scarves, purses and other easy-to-gift accessories to give away.
